Whitmans Wraps

Love that these can be put on with one hand!! Great design.
Very glad to hear we acomplished our goal of simpler lifting straps!
Haven't taken them off since they arrived. Not only are they the easiest to use straps for lifting, but also for every day applications as well! It's never been easier to whip open that big heavy door to your office as it is with the Whitmans Wraps!
Oh no! It's blizzarding and you need to get a frozen turkey from the grocery store so holiday dinner isn't ruined?? Lock in to your steering wheel and drive with confidence regardless of how bald your tires are!
In all seriousness, they are super easy to use once you get used to them and they hold just as well as any other lifting strap. They start conversations and make you look like an absolute pro.
If Whitmans is reading this, I have a few ideas for the next model!
One of the most enthusiastic reviews I've ever seen! We're glad you love them, and our inbox is always open for some feedback.
At first they threw me off. I couldn’t even put on correctly. Like my basic strap use history was erased. But after going back to regular straps a few times and seeing that I had my Whitmans incorrectly configured then I fixed the issues. I had straps going in wrong directions and it just didn’t work for me. But then it came together. Would be good to get a nice set of instructions (yes, even for basic strap use) and techniques. Address things like how to loop and configure. How to put on. Orientation of straps. How to preset in straight position. How to engage. How to tighten. Things like loading the tension and tightness on the wrist prior to grabbing bar.Ways to engage and tighten once engaged. All sound simple and intuitive but it threw me off until I had a week or two to learn the ropes.
These are one of the best wraps I've ever used, and not just because they're self applying. They have great grip and they hold onto the bar really well. Overall definitely a 10/10
The whitmans wraps are sweet!! Using small bracelet materials in wrist wraps is pretty ingenious. The material is durable and the hard rubber portion is grippy. Only annoying part is setting them back up to slap against a bar or whatever you’re using your grips for.
How It Began
This all began on a typical back day at the gym. I was fired up for some lat pulldowns, using the standard lifting straps everyone knows. But the process? It took me an entire two minutes just to get the straps on, only to realize I had set the weight completely wrong. Frustrated, I took the straps off, thinking, There has to be a better way.
I turned to Google, convinced someone had already solved this problem. To my surprise, I couldn’t find anything that made lifting straps both easy to use, and effective. That’s when I decided to take matters into my own hands, literally. I went home and created the very first version of what would become Whitmans Wraps.
Curious to see how others felt about my idea, I shared it on Instagram. The result was insane, over 3 million views! Some loved it, some criticized it, but all that feedback fueled me to improve. From there, I was dedicated to refining the design, growing our social media presence, and turning this idea into something real.
Today, after 45 million views, countless redesigns, and improvements, the first Self-Applying Lifting Strap is here, Whitmans Wraps. Designed for anyone who wants to spend less time wrestling with their gear, and more time focusing on their lift. Lifting should be challenging, but not because of your equipment.
